Production Officer
African Naturalistas
Responsibilties
- Oversee all manufacturing activities from beginning to end
- Reduce cost of production by increasing efficiency
- Minimize raw and packaging materials wastage to the barest minimum
- Plan and organise production schedule
- Interpret and execute Production Process according to documented Standard Operation Procedures (SOP)
- Ensure all Production Assistants carry out duties according to Production Policies
- Ensure all Production Utensils and Equipment are well maintained, sterilized and clean at all time
- Oversee activities of the Production team Manage pre and post-production operations
- Ensure all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are strictly being adhered to
- Ensure Production environment is clean and safe at all times
- Ensure only quality products are being manufactured
- Manage and submit Production Reports and post-production reconciliations
- Ensure only quality Raw and Packing materials are used in Production Processes
- Set Daily Production goals for production team
- Ensure all Production activities are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
- Regularly train and sensitize Production Team
- Organise repairs and routine maintenance of production equipment
- Ensuring that all production targets are met on time and within budget.
- Maintaining high quality standards for all products.
- Maintaining waste level not exceeding 0.2%.
- Driving strict compliance to GMP, and Safety in the production lines.
- Effective utilization and management of the production team and workforce.
- Identifying and implementing production improvements.
- Troubleshooting and resolving production problems.
- Developing and implementing innovative strategies to streamline factory operations.
- Collaborating with Quality Control Officers to establish and execute quality control processes.
- Ensuring that factory machinery is in good working order.
- Analyzing production data to identify and resolve any production issues.
- Weighing, mixing, filter preparation, filling and packaging.
- Completion of all associated production records in accordance with good documentation practices.
- Transfer of raw and packaging materials as well as finished products.
- Perform house-keeping and first-level trouble-shooting of equipment as needed.
- Equipment and area cleaning on regular intervals.
- Comply with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Work on continuous improvement initiatives within Production.
- Operating manufacturing equipment, including daily maintenance.
Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess an HND qualification with 2 years experience.
