Our client is an automotive service company providing vehicle maintenance and repair services, vehicle diagnostics, automotive spare parts, car wash, and other vehicle-care solutions to individual and corporate customers. We are looking to hire and HR Supervisor who will be responsible for managing the company's core human resources functions, supporting employee performance and engagement, ensuring effective recruitment and onboarding, maintaining employee records, and implementing HR policies and processes that support a productive and compliant workforce.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment & Onboarding

• Manage end-to-end recruitment activities, from identifying staffing needs to sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates.
• Ensure new employees have a smooth and structured onboarding experience.
• Maintain an effective talent pipeline for current and future staffing needs.

Employee Records & HRIS Administration

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date physical employee files and digital records within the HR software/HRIS database.
• Track employee lifecycle changes, including promotions, transfers, probation confirmations, and leave administration (annual, sick, casual)..

Employee Management & Relations

• Serve as a key point of contact for employees on HR-related matters.
• Handle employee concerns, grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace issues professionally.
• Promote positive employee relations and a healthy workplace culture.
• Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, conduct, and compliance with company policies.

HR Policies, Records & Compliance

• Implement and maintain HR policies, procedures, and processes in line with company objectives and applicable labour regulations.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and personnel files.
• Ensure proper documentation of employee movements, promotions, transfers, warnings, leave, and exits.
• Support management in ensuring consistent application of HR policies across the organisation.
• building activities to foster a collaborative culture.

Performance & Staff Development

• Support the implementation of employee performance appraisal and review processes.
• Identify training and development needs and coordinate relevant training activities.
• Monitor employee performance and support managers in addressing performance gaps.
• Assist with initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and retention.

Multi-Site & Field HR Support

• Travel to regional centers, branch workshops, or service locations as required to deliver hands-on HR administrative support, conduct site check-ins, and facilitate staff engagement.
• Coordinate travel arrangements, logistics, and documentation for HR site visits and field audits outside the Lagos head office.

QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
• Minimum of 24 years' hands-on experience in an HR support, HR Administrator, or HR Generalist role.
• Experience within the automotive, engineering, logistics, technical services, or distribution sectors is an added advantage.
• Solid knowledge of core HR practices, administrative workflows, is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with strong attention to details.
• High level of integrity and proven ability to handle confidential employee and business information with discretion.
• Must be based in Lagos and fully willing to travel to other state/regional locations as duty permits.
