Business Development Manager

Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead business growth initiatives, identify new revenue opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and expand the company's client base.
- The ideal candidate should have a strong commercial mindset, excellent negotiation abilities, and a proven track record of generating revenue and closing business deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives.
- Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities and potential clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, market research, cold outreach, and industry events.
- Prepare and deliver business proposals, presentations, quotations, and commercial offers.
- Lead negotiations and manage the sales process from prospecting through to deal closure.
- Develop strategic partnerships and alliances that create new business opportunities.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
- Work closely with the marketing and operations teams to develop effective client acquisition strategies.
- Monitor sales pipelines, revenue forecasts, and business development performance.
- Prepare regular business development reports for management.
- Consistently meet or exceed assigned revenue and business development targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree / HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Management, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing, or a related commercial role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales or revenue targets.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, communication, and closing skills.
- Excellent client relationship management and networking abilities.
- Strong understanding of business strategy, market research, and competitive analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM / business development tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple opportunities, and deliver results under pressure.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and business development activities when required.
- Professional certification in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, or a related field is an added advantage.
