Business Development Manager

Description
- The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and converting new business opportunities, developing strategic accounts, expanding dealer/channel networks, and driving sales of 2-wheelers and, particularly, 3-wheelers across the assigned market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a strong pipeline of new business opportunities, with a strong focus on 3-wheeler sales .
- Identify and acquire fleet operators, transport companies, cooperatives, corporate customers and other high-volume users.
- Build relationships with transport unions, park chairmen, Keke associations, rider groups and other key market stakeholders.
- Develop and manage dealers, sub-dealers and strategic channel partners.
- Conduct market mapping to identify new territories, transport clusters and business opportunities.
- Work closely with Territory Sales Officers and Area Sales Managers to convert qualified leads into sales.
- Prepare commercial proposals, negotiate within approved company guidelines and manage strategic accounts.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer needs and provide actionable market intelligence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree / HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Business Development/Sales, preferably within the automotive, motorcycle, tricycle, FMCG, distribution or mobility sector.
- Mandatory: Proven experience managing and selling 3-wheeler (tricycle/Keke) products.
- Demonstrable experience in fleet sales, B2B sales, dealer development, institutional sales or transport-sector business development will be an advantage.
- Strong market knowledge, negotiation, relationship management and business development skills.
- Ability to develop and convert a sales pipeline and consistently achieve business targets.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
