The Opportunity

YellowDoor Hotels is a boutique hotel in Abuja bringing premium hospitality to business executives and leisure travelers. The Living Room, our restaurant and bar, is central to the guest experience. We're hiring an F&B Manager who leads from the floor, owns the numbers, and builds teams that consistently deliver - not someone who manages from behind a desk.

Your Mission

• Oversee daily operations across all F&B outlets and service areas
• Lead, coach, and hold accountable a team of 11–20 F&B staff
• Track food cost, wastage, and revenue figures weekly and act on variances
• Ensure all stock, orders, bills, and complimentary items are properly recorded
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and presentation standards across every shift
• Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to resolve issues and improve delivery

Must-have Skills

• F&B operations management
• Floor leadership
• Financial controls and cost management
• Inventory and stock management
• Staff performance management
• Food safety and HACCP compliance
• Guest complaint resolution
• SOP development and enforcement

Nice-to-have Skills

• Formal F&B or culinary training
• Revenue management training
• Financial controls certification

The Non-Negotiables

• Cannot manage only from a desk - daily floor presence is non-negotiable
• No prior boutique hotel or upscale restaurant management experience
• Unable to demonstrate measurable cost or revenue outcomes from past roles
• Soft on staff performance with no evidence of holding teams to clear standards

The Purpose of This Role

To own the full F&B function at YellowDoor - hitting cost and revenue targets, tightening controls, and running a team that delivers a consistently excellent guest experience.

What Success Looks Like

F&B cost at target by Month 6, revenue target hit from Month 4, stock losses reduced within 6 months, guest satisfaction scores improving by Month 9, and a stable high-performing team retained.
