General Manager

About the Role

• Our Client in consulting is seeking to hirean experienced and commercially minded General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and strategic growth of an Consulting firm.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, managing client relationships, overseeing consulting and recruitment operations, and ensuring the organization consistently delivers high-quality services to clients.
• Candidates with a strong background in HR, recruitment, consulting, business development, or professional services are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall operations and performance of the consulting firm.
• Develop and implement business strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
• Drive business development and identify new consulting and corporate opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Oversee the delivery of HR consulting, recruitment, training, and related services.
• Lead and supervise the consulting and administrative teams.
• Monitor team performance and ensure achievement of departmental targets.
• Prepare and review business proposals, reports, presentations, and client deliverables.
• Identify opportunities to expand the firm's service offerings and market reach.
• Ensure excellent client experience and timely resolution of client concerns.
• Monitor budgets, revenue, expenses, and overall business performance.
• Establish and improve operational processes and systems.
• Represent the company at meetings, networking events, and other professional engagements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant employment, business, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide regular performance reports and strategic recommendations to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' professional experience, preferably in management, HR consulting, business development, or a related field.
• HR experience is an added advantage.
• Proven experience in business development and client relationship management.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business strategies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant business tools.
• Professional certification in HR, Management, or a related field is an advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• The ideal candidate should be a mature, confident, commercially driven professional, preferably 35–40 years old, with at least five years of relevant experience and the ability to independently manage people, clients, operations, and business growth.
• Experience within an HR consulting firm, recruitment company, management consulting firm, or other professional services environment will be a strong advantage.
