Logistics Supervisor

About the Role

• GKT Consults Limited is seeking a proactive, highly organised, and results-driven Logistics Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our transport and logistics services.
• The successful candidate will supervise drivers, recruit and manage transport partners, coordinate vehicle movements, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain high operational standards in a fast-paced environment.
• This role requires flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and public holidays as operational demands require.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day transport and logistics operations.
• Recruit, onboard, manage, and maintain strong relationships with transport partners and vendors.
• Plan, assign, and monitor daily vehicle schedules and driver assignments.
• Ensure timely execution of airport transfers, corporate transportation, and other logistics services.
• Oversee the maintenance, servicing, cleanliness, roadworthiness, documentation, and availability of company vehicles.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs to minimise vehicle downtime.
• Monitor vehicle utilisation, fuel consumption, maintenance records, and operating costs.
• Supervise drivers and transport partners to ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, safety standards, and service quality requirements.
• Respond promptly to operational issues, emergencies, and client requests.
• Liaise with clients to ensure service satisfaction and resolve service issues promptly.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
• Utilise AI tools and digital platforms to improve scheduling, reporting, communication, and operational efficiency.
• Support business development initiatives and perform other duties assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in logistics, fleet management, transportation, or operations supervision.
• Strong knowledge of Lagos road network and route planning.
• Experience managing transport vendors, drivers, and fleet operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, or similar productivity tools.
• Excellent organisational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritise work, and perform effectively under pressure.
• High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, public holidays, and outside normal business hours whenever operational needs require.

Salary
N200,000 - N300,000 monthly.
