Business and Strategy Analyst

Job Summary

• We are looking for a highly organised, analytical and execution-focused Business & Strategy Analyst to join the firm as part of the Executive Office.
• This role works directly with the Managing Partner, supporting strategic planning, operational coordination and executive effectiveness across the firm.
• The successful candidate will help translate leadership priorities into structured action plans, ensure follow-through across teams, and support the Managing Partner in maintaining focus on high-impact initiatives.
• In this role you will help gather, interpret, and analyze data to identify trends, solve problems, and provide actionable insights for decision-making within the organization.
• This position involves significant support for senior staff, focusing on research and data tasks to achieve project goals.
• The position sits at the centre of the firm’s operating rhythm and requires structured thinking, attention to detail, discretion and strong communication capability. It combines elements of strategy support, executive coordination, performance tracking and project management.

Key Responsibilities 
Strategic Planning Support:

• Support the Managing Partner in preparing and refining strategic materials.
• Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making and growth initiatives.
• Translate strategic discussions into structured action plans and timelines.
• Assist in monitoring progress against firm-wide objectives.
• Prepare structured briefing materials for strategic meetings and reviews.

Market Research and Analysis:

• Conduct research on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to provide insights that inform strategic decision

Executive Coordination & Leadership Support:

• Support prioritisation of the Managing Partner’s agenda and meeting cadence.
• Act as gatekeeper, managing information flow between the Managing Partner, teams, and external stakeholders.
• Support calendar management, meeting preparation, and follow-through on action items.
• Prepare high-quality briefing notes ahead of internal and external engagements.
• Draft memos, internal communications and executive correspondence.
• Track follow-up actions from meetings and ensure timely execution across teams.
• Facilitate information flow between the Managing Partner and internal stakeholders.

Operational Execution & Project Coordination:

• Support cross-functional initiatives across Wealth Management, Investment Banking and Corporate functions.
• Develop project trackers and accountability matrices.
• Monitor initiative progress and escalate delays or risks appropriately.
• Assist in improving internal workflows and reporting processes.
• Coordinate preparation of materials for leadership meetings and quarterly reviews.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

• Support preparation of monthly and quarterly performance dashboards.
• Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends and performance gaps.
• Assist in budget tracking and variance analysis.
• Help maintain a pulse on employee engagement, morale, and productivity.
• Help maintain structured KPI tracking systems across departments.

Organisational Alignment & Governance Support:

• Support initiatives that strengthen collaboration across departments.
• Assist in reinforcing performance-driven and values-aligned culture.
• Ensure documentation and reporting standards remain high.
• Support preparation for partner, investor or regulatory engagements where required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or related field
• MBA or postgraduate qualification preferred.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in business management, consulting, or operations within a financial services or strategy-driven environment.
• Experience supporting senior executives or leadership teams preferred.
• Able to handle confidential matters seamlessly with absolute discretion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present ideas clearly and concisely.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capability.
• Excellent ability to speak and write English.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, team with minimal supervision.
• Proactive, with good decision- making capacity.
• Strong interpersonal skills, good atbuilding stakeholders relationships.
• Good Numeric ability.
• Must be mature, courteous, professional and reliable.
• Highly adaptable, able to deal with ambiguity and change, willing to learn and grow in the role.
• High emotional intelligence, discretion and sound judgement.
• Proficiency in macOS Keynote, Numbers and Pages – a plus.
• Diligent and meticulous, with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and project coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously.
• Proactive, dependable and disciplined in execution.
• Good decision-making capacity.
• Strong understanding of financial services industry dynamics preferred.

Salary
N450,000 - N700,000 monthly.
