Sourcing & Procurement Officer

Job Summary

• We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sourcing &Procurement Officer to support our procurement operations by sourcing quality materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services.
• The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of procurement experience, preferably within the engineering, construction, or procurement sector, and possess strong organizational and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials, equipment, and services in line with company requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Obtain and compare quotations to ensure competitive pricing and value for money.
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure compliance with company procurement policies.
• Track purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with relevant departments to prevent stock shortages.
• Verify deliveries against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies where necessary.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and documentation.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Support contract administration and vendor performance evaluations.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare periodic procurement reports and provide updates to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of procurement experience, preferably within an engineering, construction, manufacturing, or procurement environment.
• Good understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract administration.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience using ERP or procurement management systems is an added advantage.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of engineering materials, equipment, and procurement specifications.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Good report writing and documentation skills.
