CNC Machine Operator

About The Role
- We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our operation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machines to manufacture high-quality precision components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling, turning, or machining centre equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Select and install the correct cutting tools, fixtures, and machine settings.
- Monitor machining operations to ensure accuracy and product quality.
- Measure finished components using precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment faults promptly.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and HSE policies.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Collaborate with supervisors and other production personnel to meet production targets.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of an OND, Trade Test, City & Guilds, or equivalent technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
- 2–5 years' experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Good understanding of CNC machining processes and machine controls.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Proficiency in the use of precision measuring instruments.
- Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CNC Milling, CNC Lathe, or Multi-Axis CNC Machines.
- Familiarity with G-Code and M-Code programming.
- Knowledge of ISO quality standards and manufacturing best practices.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
