Accountant
an Engineering and Construction Firm - Gbenga Badejo and Co
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- That will manage the accounts and accounts processes of the organization
- Carry out account’s reconciliation.
- Provide support for the management to raise and manage funds for project execution.
- Manage cash flow and liquidity for effective project execution.
- Ensure accuracy of records and prepare financial statements and reports.
- Develop and manage annual budgeting and compliance.
- Ensure proper records are kept for a financial transaction.
- Maintain internal controls, financial policies and procedures.
- Provide financial guidance to the management for informed decision-making.
Education and Experience
- A Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related courses from a reputable educational institution
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience (at least 3 years in consulting firm)
- Strong leadership and commercial acumen
- Excellent planning and highly organized.
- A self-starter, Must be able to work without supervision
- Proficient in MS Word Office applications – Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Good understanding and experience with systems of control.
- Strong and analytical skills include the ability to spot, assess and address risk, materiality and interdependencies and translate it into impact analysis for financial reporting and recommendations for improvement.
- Adaptable to working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Must be a Chartered Accountant.
