Job Summary

• The Business Manager will act as the commercial and operational lead for the company, responsible for driving revenue, owning profitability, and building the systems required to scale the business.
• This role translates strategic and creative direction into a high-performing, structured, and profitable fashion business.

Core Mandate

• Own the P&L of the company.
• Drive revenue growth and profitability.
• Build and enforce operational structure and discipline.
• Translate brand vision into a scalable commercial engine.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Business Planning:

• Define and drive the short, mid, and long-term strategy for the company RTW.
• Develop annual business plans with quarterly execution frameworks.

Identify growth opportunities across:

• Retail.
• Pop-ups.
• New markets.
• Product categories.
• Conduct ongoing market and competitor analysis.
• Provide forward-looking recommendations to the Founder.

P&L Ownership & Financial Management:

• Own full profit and loss performance.

Develop and manage:

• Revenue targets.
• Expense budgets.
• Profitability targets.

Work closely with Finance to:

• Build budgets.
• Track performance vs targets.
• Implement cost controls.
• Ensure financial discipline across all operations.

Revenue & Commercial Performance:
Drive all revenue channels:

• Store performance.
• Pop-ups.
• Special activations.

Define and oversee:

• Sales strategy.
• Pricing alignment.
• Product mix optimization.
• Ensure strong sell-through and inventory efficiency.

Retail & Customer Experience Strategy:

• Define strategy to position The company store as a destination

Oversee execution of:

• In-store experience.
• Clienteling systems.
• Conversion optimization.
• Ensure alignment between brand positioning and customer experience.

Product Commercialization:
Work with design and production teams to:

• Align product with market demand.
• Optimize assortment planning.
• Ensure correct pricing architecture.

Ensure balance between:

• Creativity.
• Commercial viability.

Operations & Systems Leadership:
Build and enforce systems across:

• Inventory management.
• Sales tracking.
• Reporting.
• Workflow structure.
• Identify and resolve operational inefficiencies.
• Establish clear processes and accountability structures.

Team Leadership & Organizational Structure:
Oversee key functional leads:

• Commercial.
• Retail.
• Operations.
• Define roles, responsibilities, and reporting lines.

Drive a culture of:

• Accountability.
• Performance.
• Execution excellence.

Execution Oversight:
Oversee implementation of:

• Pop-up strategy.
• Store activations.
• Sales initiatives.
• Ensure teams execute effectively.
• Intervene only at a strategic or escalation level.

Reporting & Performance Management:

• Establish weekly and monthly reporting cadence

Track:

• Revenue.
• Conversion rates.
• Sell-through.
• Inventory movement.
• Present clear insights and action plans to Founder.

Success Metrics (First 3–6 Months)

• Clear visibility of full business performance (weekly reporting in place)

Measurable improvement in:

• Revenue.
• Conversion.
• Inventory efficiency.
• Store operating as a structured commercial engine.
• Pop-ups and activations delivering defined ROI.
• Cost discipline and margin improvement.

Candidate Profile
6 – 10+ years experience in:

• Fashion / retail / lifestyle / consumer business.

Strong experience managing:

• P&L.
• Multi-channel sales.
• Highly strategic with strong execution oversight capability.
• Data-driven, commercially sharp.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-scaling, founder-led business.
