Summary
- The HSE Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and workplace standards across PMN Farms operations while promoting a culture of safety, risk awareness, and regulatory compliance.
Description
- The role develops, implements, monitors, and continuously improves health, safety, and environmental programs designed to protect employees, visitors, company assets, and the environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine safety inspections and audits.
- Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments for operational activities.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses.
- Prepare incident and safety reports.
- Conduct employee safety training and awareness programs.
- Monitor compliance with environmental regulations.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain HSE records and documentation.
- Support emergency preparedness and response activities.
- Monitor biosecurity, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
Requirements
- Degree or HND in HSE, Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health, or related fields.
- Minimum 2 years experience in HSE management, safety compliance, or environmental management.
- Strong understanding of occupational health and safety principles.
- Ability to conduct inspections and audits.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and enforce compliance standards. Professional
- HSE certifications are an added advantage.
