Summary
- The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating the delivery of materials, equipment, and operational supplies required for efficient farm operations while ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely availability of resources
Description
- This role manages supplier relationships, purchasing activities, procurement records, and inventory replenishment to support operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate suppliers and vendors.
- Obtain quotations and negotiate pricing.
- Process purchase requests and purchase orders.
- Coordinate delivery of materials and supplies.
- Maintain supplier records and procurement documentation.
- Track inventory requirements with operational teams.
- Monitor procurement costs and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with procurement procedures.
- Build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings.
Education
- Degree or HND in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in procurement or supply chain management.
Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills.
- High integrity and accountability.
- Computer proficiency. -
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadline.
