Job Description: Shopping Mall Security Supervisor Job Title Shopping Mall Security Supervisor Reports To Security Operations Manager / Contract Manager Job Summary The Shopping Mall Security Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating all daily security operations within the shopping mall. The supervisor ensures that security officers perform their duties effectively, security procedures are followed, incidents are managed promptly, and the safety of shoppers, tenants, staff, visitors, and mall assets is maintained. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of all security personnel on each shift. Conduct guard briefings, deployments, and shift handovers. Ensure all security posts are adequately staffed and patrols are carried out according to schedule. Monitor the performance, discipline, appearance, and professionalism of security officers. Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, accidents, and customer complaints. Coordinate with the CCTV Control Room to monitor security threats and direct response teams. Investigate incidents, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions. Liaise with mall management, tenants, emergency services, and law enforcement agencies when necessary. Ensure compliance with company policies, mall regulations, and health and safety requirements. Conduct routine inspections of security equipment, emergency exits, fire safety equipment, and vulnerable areas. Identify security risks and recommend improvements to enhance safety and loss prevention. Train, mentor, and evaluate security officers to improve operational effectiveness. Maintain accurate records, including occurrence books, patrol logs, attendance, and incident reports. Ensure proper crowd management during promotions, special events, and peak shopping periods. Enforce access control procedures for staff, contractors, and visitors. Qualifications Minimum of OND/HND/Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification. At least 3–5 years of security experience, with supervisory experience in a shopping mall, retail, commercial, or corporate environment. Professional security training or certification is an added advantage. Good knowledge of security operations, emergency response, and loss prevention. Working Conditions Shift-based schedule, including nights, weekends, and public holidays. Frequent patrols throughout the shopping mall, including indoor and outdoor areas. Availability to respond to emergencies and major incidents outside normal working hours when required. Extended periods of standing, walking, and supervising operations across multiple security posts.
