Summary
- We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Biomedical Associate to join our team.
- This role offers hands-on responsibility in biomedical equipment management, laboratory procedures, maintenance support, documentation, and healthcare technology operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conductthe inspection, testing, and routine maintenance of biomedical equipment.
- Repairs, maintenance and calibration of medical equipment.
- Help maintain accurate equipment records, service reports, and inventory documentation.
- Observe safety, infection-control, and quality-assurance procedures.
- Learn and follow relevant hospital, laboratory, and regulatory standards.
- Inspect, test, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on biomedical equipment.
- Support biomedical engineers, technicians, and clinical staff with troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment evaluations.
- Maintain accurate equipment records, service reports, maintenance schedules, and inventory documentation.
- Installation, commissioning, and safe operation of medical and laboratory equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance and report faults, safety concerns, and maintenance requirements promptly.
- Follow infection-control, occupational-safety, quality-assurance, and regulatory procedures.
- Assist with research, data collection, technical assessments, and departmental improvement projects.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers when required.
- Provide basic user guidance and support to healthcare and laboratory personnel.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with relevant hospital, laboratory, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Currently studying, or recently graduated in Biomedical Engineering, Health Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of medical or laboratory equipment is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with clinical, technical, and administrative teams.
- Commitment to safety, confidentiality, professional ethics, and continuous learning.
