Social Media Manager

Job Summary

• Our client, a growing fashion brand, is seeking an experienced and creative Social Media Manager to manage and grow its digital presence across social media platforms.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies, creating engaging content, managing online communities, and strengthening the brand's visibility and engagement across digital platforms. The role will also provide light administrative and coordination support to the Founder/Brand Owner as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective social media strategies aligned with the brand's goals and identity.
• Manage the brand's social media platforms, particularly Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
• Develop and manage content calendars and ensure consistent content delivery.
• Create and curate engaging content, including captions, graphics, short-form videos and other social media assets.
• Stay up to date with fashion, social media and digital content trends and identify opportunities to grow the brand's online presence.
• Work closely with the creative and marketing teams to develop campaigns and promotional content.
• Manage the brand's online community and respond to comments, messages and customer enquiries where required.
• Monitor social media performance and prepare regular reports using relevant analytics.
• Track engagement, reach, audience growth and other key performance indicators and make recommendations for improvement.
• Identify opportunities for collaborations, influencer partnerships and other digital marketing initiatives.
• Maintain consistency in the brand's tone, visual identity and overall online presence.
• Provide occasional administrative and coordination support to the Founder/Brand Owner, including scheduling, follow-ups, research, coordination and other tasks as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Mass Communication or a related field is an advantage.
• 3–5 years of proven experience in social media management, preferably within the fashion, lifestyle, beauty or retail industry.
• Strong knowledge of major social media platforms, particularly Instagram and TikTok.
• Excellent content creation, copywriting and storytelling skills.
• Strong understanding of fashion, digital culture and current social media trends.
• Experience using social media management and analytics tools.
• Strong visual and creative sense with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Discretion, professionalism and the ability to handle confidential information.
• Candidates who reside on the Island in Lagos are preferred.
