Receptionist - Apartment Hotel

Job Description

• We are seeking experienced, professional and customer-focused Receptionists to manage guest reception and front-office operations at a serviced apartment facility in Apo, Abuja.
• The ideal candidates should have 7–9 years of practical, hands-on experience working in hotels, serviced apartments, short-let apartments or similar hospitality environments, with strong customer service, communication, administrative and front-office skills.
• The successful candidates will serve as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring smooth check-in and check-out, effective reservation management, prompt response to enquiries and a professional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide a professional and friendly reception experience.
• Handle guest check-in and check-out accurately and efficiently.
• Manage reservations, guest enquiries, requests and service needs.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
• Maintain accurate guest records, bookings, payments and reception documentation.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are ready for guests.
• Monitor guest arrivals, departures, reservations and special requests.
• Manage and update bookings across PMS, OTA and online booking platforms.
• Provide information about apartment facilities, services, policies and local attractions.
• Prepare daily reception and operational reports for management.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, HND or OND in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of practical, hands-on experience working in a hotel, serviced apartment, short-let apartment or similar hospitality environment.
• Proven experience in front-office/reception operations.
• Proficiency in PMS and hotel management software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant computer applications.
• Practical experience managing OTA and online booking platforms.
• Experience handling reservations, guest check-in/check-out, payments and guest records.
• Strong knowledge of guest service, reservation management and front-office procedures.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong problem-solving, organisational and administrative abilities.
• Ability to handle guest complaints and difficult situations professionally.
• High level of professionalism, attention to detail and personal presentation.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, security and other departments.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.

Salary
N150,000 / Monthly.
