Operations Manager

Role Overview

• We are seeking a highly capable and results-driven Operations Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the company.
• This is a senior leadership role that requires a strategic thinker with strong operational expertise, the ability to manage diverse teams, and a proven track record of driving efficiency and productivity in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across all departments, ensuring alignment with company goals and targets
• Develop, implement, and continuously review operational policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and workflows
• Oversee production planning, quality control, inventory management, supply chain, and logistics operations
• Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise staff to build a high-performing, accountable team
• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare detailed management reports for the Board
• Ensure the company meets all regulatory and compliance requirements, including NAFDAC, SON, and workplace health and safety standards
• Drive cost optimisation initiatives without compromising quality or employee welfare
• Liaise with vendors, suppliers, clients, and relevant government agencies on behalf of the company
• Lead the resolution of operational challenges and escalate business risks to management promptly
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability across the organisation
• Manage budgets, approve procurement requests, and ensure responsible financial stewardship at the operational level
• Coordinate production schedules to meet customer orders and delivery timelines

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) is an added advantage.
• 3 - 5 years of progressive experience in operations, production management, or a similar leadership role
• Prior experience in the FMCG, food manufacturing, or consumer goods industry is strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience managing teams of 10 or more people
• Sound knowledge of NAFDAC regulations and food safety compliance standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with ERP or inventory management software is a plus
