Production Manager

Job Summary

• The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the end-to-end production process of precast concrete products, including concrete blocks, paving stones, and kerbstones.
• The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and operational efficiency to ensure consistent product quality, timely output, and cost-effective manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Execution:

• Plan, organise, and manage daily production activities to meet output targets
• Ensure efficient utilisation of machinery, raw materials, and workforce
• Monitor production schedules and adjust operations to meet demand requirements.
• Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery

Quality Control:

• Ensure all products meet required quality standards and specifications.
• Implement and monitor quality assurance processes across production stages
• Address defects and production issues and implement corrective actions

Operations Management:

• Oversee plant operations, including batching, moulding, curing, and finishing processes
• Maintain optimal equipment performance through regular maintenance coordination
• Minimise downtime and improve production efficiency

Health, Safety & Compliance:

• Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations within the production facility
• Ensure safe handling of materials, machinery, and equipment
• Conduct regular safety checks and training for production staff

Team Leadership:

• Supervise, train, and manage production staff and machine operators
• Set performance targets and ensure team productivity
• Foster a disciplined and performance-driven work environment

Inventory & Resource Management:

• Monitor raw material levels to prevent shortages
• Reduce waste and optimise resource utilisation
• Coordinate with procurement for timely supply of materials

Reporting & Continuous Improvement:

• Track production performance metrics and prepare regular reports.
• Identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Implement best practices to enhance productivity and product quality.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• 3–7 years of experience in production or plant management within the construction materials or manufacturing industry (precast concrete experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of precast concrete production processes and machinery
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Excellent problem-solving and organisational abilities
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in manufacturing environments

Salary
N150,000 - N300,000 per month.
