Volunteer Creative Lead

The Creative Lead will be strategic, data-driven, and creative, deploying strategies that will grow Scholar Chit Chat's online presence and strengthen engagement across our digital platforms. This role is focused on developing and executing social media growth strategies, increasing reach and engagement, building an active online community, and using performance insights to continuously optimize content. The ideal candidate understands how social media algorithms work, stays ahead of digital trends, and knows how to turn followers into an engaged community. Key Responsibilities Social Media Strategy Create monthly content and campaign plans in collaboration with the design/content team. Identify opportunities to increase brand awareness, audience engagement, and community growth. Recommend platform-specific strategies for Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), TikTok, Facebook, and emerging platforms. Community Growth & Engagement Build and nurture an active online community by responding to comments, messages, and audience interactions. Identify opportunities for collaborations with creators, organizations, universities, and student communities. Encourage user-generated content and community participation. Platform Management Manage and optimize all social media accounts, ensuring consistent brand voice and messaging across platforms. Schedule and publish content at optimal times. Trend + Performance Monitoring & Analytics Track and report key performance metrics regularly, including: Follower growth Reach and impressions Engagement rate Stay up to date with social media trends, algorithm changes, and best practices. Identify opportunities to increase visibility through trending topics, challenges, and digital conversations relevant to education and youth development. Key Requirements Great communication skills, both written and verbal. Proven experience creating content, managing online communities and growing social media accounts organically. A passion for/ interest in sharing knowledge, volunteering and making an impact. An ability to collaborate, deliver results and embrace learning. Self-motivation, proactiveness, and an ability to meet deadlines. Interest in and knowledge of effective strategies for community building.
