Job Summary
- The Surveyor will be responsible for accurately measuring, monitoring, and verifying petroleum products received, stored, and dispatched within the tank farm.
- The role ensures inventory accuracy, quantity reconciliation, compliance with industry standards, and operational integrity by conducting stock measurements, inspections, and documentation of petroleum products.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily tank gauging and product measurements using approved methods and equipment.
- Determine the quantity of petroleum products received, stored, and dispatched.
- Perform tank dipping, ullage, water finding, and temperature measurements.
- Calculate product volumes and apply correction factors where necessary.
- Verify product quantities during loading and discharge operations.
- Witness receipt and discharge of petroleum products from vessels, trucks, or pipelines.
- Verify cargo quantities against shipping documents.
- Monitor product transfers between storage tanks.
- Conduct pre-loading and post-loading inspections.
- Prepare daily stock reports.
- Record discrepancies in product quantity or quality.
- Maintain measurement logs and inspection records.
- Verify seals and tank conditions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in: Quantity Surveying, Petroleum Engineering, Marine Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience in: Tank farm operations, Petroleum terminal operations, Cargo surveying, Inventory management and Oil & Gas logistics.
