Junior Accountant

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including cash flow and budget performance reports.
- Perform reconciliations for bank statements, ledgers, and invoices.
- Support compliance with applicable standards (i.e., IFRS, GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
- Process and document payments on bank platforms.
- Maintain records for asset registers, invoices, and operational expenses.
- Assist with monthly management account preparation and financial reporting.
- Provide timely and accurate financial information to the Accountant and management.
- Collaborate with external auditors by organizing and supplying required documentation.
- Ensure timely remittances and filings of taxes and statutory deductions.
- Process invoices promptly and accurately, facilitating seamless financial transactions with our partners and vendors
- Record and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring that financial obligations are met and funds are received promptly.
- Manage payroll and employee expense claims.
Qualifications, Skill Sets, And Values
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Demonstrable knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
- 2-3 years of accounting or finance experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Understanding of tax filings and compliance requirements.
- Strong organisational, numeracy, and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to learn, adapt, and thrive in a fast-paced environment is required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
Salary
N80,000 – N100,000 per month.
