Job Summary
- Are you an experienced inventory professional with a strong background in retail operations? We are looking for a proactive Inventory Management Officer to oversee inventory planning, stock optimisation, and replenishment activities while ensuring product availability, operational efficiency, and cost control across our retail operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor stock availability and maintain optimal inventory levels across stores.
- Analyse stock movement, Days on Hand (DOH), Minimum Stock Levels (MSL), fill rates, and replenishment requirements.
- Work closely with Category Managers to improve inventory performance and product availability.
- *Track vendor fill rates, purchase order fulfilment, and category gross margins.
- Create and maintain new product records within the ERP system.
- Coordinate stock forecasting to meet customer demand while minimising excess inventory.
- Supervise inventory reconciliation, stock verification, and periodic stock counts.
- Monitor damaged, expired, short-dated, slow-moving, and non-scannable products, ensuring timely reporting and resolution.
- Liaise with store operations, warehouse teams, and category managers on stock transfers, replenishment, and stocking requirements.
- Ensure accurate inventory documentation, stock ledger updates, and proper filing of inventory records.
- Support regulatory compliance for applicable products and maintain inventory accuracy across all locations.
- Lead and supervise warehouse inventory and store replenishment teams to achieve operational targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5–7 years' experience in inventory management within a retail or FMCG environment, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong understanding of inventory planning, replenishment, stock control, and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and retail ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Hig level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail.
Salary
N330,000 per month.
