Merchant Acquisition Officer (Hybrid)

Overview
- They are seeking Sales Agent to drive merchant acquisition.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, engaging, onboarding, and managing merchants across the Lagos Island axis, including Victoria Island, Ikoyi, Lekki, and Ajah.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and acquire new merchants across restaurants, lounges, bars, hotels, supermarkets, retail stores, and other businesses within the assigned territory.
- Promote and sell POS terminals and business management solutions to prospective merchants.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations, highlighting key features and business benefits.
- Manage the complete merchant onboarding process, including KYC documentation and account activation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners and key decision-makers.
- Achieve assigned monthly merchant acquisition, activation, and revenue targets.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and customer interactions using CRM tools or other reporting platforms.
- Provide post-onboarding support to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and continuous product usage.
- Gather market intelligence and provide feedback on competitor activities, customer needs, and emerging business opportunities.
Requirements
- Minimum of OND / HND / BSc in any discipline.
- 2–4 years of experience in B2B sales, merchant acquisition, POS sales, or business development within the FinTech industry.
- Current or recent FinTech Sales Agent experience is mandatory.
- Proven experience selling POS terminals or business management solutions and onboarding merchants.
- Strong knowledge of the Lagos Island market, particularly Victoria Island, Ikoyi, Lekki, and Ajah.
- Candidates with an existing merchant network within these locations will be highly preferred.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools is an added advantage.
Salary
N200,000 – N250,000 Monthly.
