- The Accountant will manage financial records, prepare reports, monitor income and expenditure, support audits, and ensure accurate documentation of all transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial reports for management and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Record financial transactions and maintain savings, loan and repayment records.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure proper filing of financial documents.
- Support internal controls, audit activities and compliance checks.
- Monitor outstanding loan balances, defaults, income and expenditure.
- Support budgeting, financial planning and statutory/cooperative reporting requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or HND qualification in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
- ICAN, ANAN, ACCA or related professional certification is an added advantage.
- 5 - 7 years accounting experience, preferably in a cooperative, microfinance, financial institution or similar environment.
- Must have a Banking experience.
