Account Officer

About the Role
- Support the finance function at the Utako facility by processing transactions accurately and maintaining reliable financial records.
Responsibilities
- Process daily financial transactions (receipts, payments, journals) accurately and on time.
- Maintain the general ledger and supporting schedules.
- Perform bank, cash and account reconciliations.
- Process supplier invoices and staff claims; manage petty cash.
- Support patient billing and revenue posting and reconciliation.
- Assist in preparing periodic financial and management reports.
- Maintain proper filing of financial documents for audit readiness.
- Support computation and remittance of statutory deductions.
- Assist with stock and asset reconciliation.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related field, plus completion of NYSC or a valid exemption where applicable.
Experience:
- 2 - 4 years’ accounting experience, including processing transactions and supporting reconciliations and reporting.
- Experience in a hospital, healthcare or HMO-facing finance environment, including patient billing, is an advantage.
Required skills:
- Bookkeeping and reconciliation
- Accuracy and numeracy
- Accounting software / ERPMS Excel
- Attention to detailIntegrity and organisation.
