Senior Accountant

Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide accurate financial reporting to support business decision-making.
- The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, sound financial knowledge, and the ability to manage accounting processes effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
- Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and accounts.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Handle payroll processing and monitor financial transactions.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide management with insights and recommendations.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Monitor budgets and cash flow activities.
- Supervise and support accounting staff where applicable.
- Ensure timely filing of taxes and statutory deductions.
- Implement and improve accounting systems and financial controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, ICAN, or equivalent is an added advantage.
- 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a senior accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- The ability to drive is an added advantage.
- Must be resident in Abuja,
