Engineer - HVAC / Technical Supervisor

Job Summary

• We are seeking a technically competent, experienced, and safety-conscious Engineer with hands-on experience in HVAC/AC systems to supervise and coordinate a team of HVAC technicians.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing maintenance and repair activities, ensuring quality service delivery, coordinating technicians, monitoring technical operations, and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards.
• Candidates with a background in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering are encouraged to apply, provided they have relevant HVAC/AC experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate HVAC/AC technicians in carrying out installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities.
• Plan and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC systems and equipment.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with technical specifications and required quality standards.
• Diagnose complex HVAC-related technical issues and provide appropriate solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to technicians during field operations.
• Allocate tasks to technicians and monitor their performance and productivity.
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed within agreed timelines.
• Review technicians’ reports and ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities.
• Monitor the condition and performance of HVAC systems and recommend necessary repairs, replacements, or improvements.
• Coordinate site inspections and technical assessments where required.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and availability of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
• Prepare technical reports and provide regular updates to management on ongoing activities.
• Liaise with clients and other stakeholders on technical and maintenance matters when required.
• Ensure all HVAC activities are carried out in accordance with approved procedures, technical standards, and safety requirements.
• Identify potential operational risks and implement appropriate corrective measures.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):

• Ensure strict compliance with company HSE policies and procedures.
• Conduct or support safety inspections at work locations.
• Ensure technicians use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Promote safe working practices during HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
• Identify and report hazards, incidents, and near misses.
• Ensure technicians comply with applicable safety regulations and work procedures.
• Maintain appropriate HSE documentation and records.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Proven hands-on experience in HVAC/AC installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs is mandatory.
• Previous experience supervising or managing HVAC/AC technicians.
• Must possess relevant HSE certification.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, maintenance procedures, and technical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Good reporting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant technical tools is an added advantage.
• Ability to work effectively in a field-based and fast-paced environment.

Salary
N300,000 Monthly.
