HVAC Technician

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and technically competent HVAC Technician to install, maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring HVAC systems operate efficiently, safely, and in accordance with required maintenance standards.
• The ideal candidate should have strong practical experience in HVAC repairs and maintenance, basic electrical knowledge, good documentation skills, and the ability to work independently while following assigned maintenance schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems and related equipment.
• Install and work with electrical components, controls, and wiring associated with HVAC systems.
• Inspect, test, and assess HVAC systems and components to identify faults and performance issues.
• Diagnose system malfunctions and determine appropriate repair or replacement solutions.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding system faults, repairs, and maintenance requirements.
• Repair or replace worn, damaged, or defective HVAC components and parts.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to improve system performance and extend equipment lifespan.
• Recommend appropriate maintenance measures to prevent recurring faults and improve system efficiency.
• Implement assigned maintenance schedules and ensure all scheduled activities are completed promptly.
• Complete and maintain accurate maintenance cards, service records, and other required documentation.
• Keep proper records of work performed, materials used, parts replaced, and identified faults.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with applicable safety procedures and technical standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good working condition.
• Perform other technical and maintenance duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ practical experience in HVAC installation, repairs, and maintenance.
• Minimum qualification of SSCE.
• Must possess relevant technical certifications such as Trade Test Certificate I, II & III, NABTEB, or equivalent.
• Must be able to read and write effectively.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and wiring is required.
• Strong practical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be trainable, dependable, and willing to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions, maintenance schedules, and safety procedures.
• Ability to maintain accurate technical and maintenance records.

Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 monthly.
