Generator Operator

Key Responsibilities
- Control and monitor generators, and auxiliary equipment.
- Distribute power among generators.
- Regulate output from generators.
- Solid expertise in electric motors, electrical and mechanical technical skills
- Operation of generator panels
- Good knowledge of computerized maintenance system
- Perform preventive maintenance, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair of generator systems.
Requirements
- Minimum of trade test 1-3 certification.
- 2+ years of experience as a generator operator in a facility management sector is preferred.
- Knowledge of AC / DC power.
- Service generators with oil changes.
- Must demonstrate technical knowledge of electrical generator systems and related engine mechanical failures.
- Ability use specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
- Good observation skills.
- Very good organizational skills.
- Very good communication skills.
