Fund Accountant

The Fund Accountant will be responsible for the end to end Financial Accounts Preparation and Reporting, management and fund accounting, finance and operational activities of the Asset management company. Responsibilities:

• Prepare Quarterly Portfolio Returns (QPR) and SEC Quarterly Financial Returns (QFR)
• To co-ordinate the analysis and synthesis of ASSET MANAGEMENT’s financial and non-financial information which provides a basis for sound business decisions by executive management
• To protect ASSET MANAGEMENT’s interest by ensuring that relevant statutory and regulatory reports/returns regarding ASSET MANAGEMENT’s financial affairs are generated on a timely basis.
• Monitoring and enforcing internal controls over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Tracks and reports on the implement robust cost management strategies to monitor and control cost for the Asset Management business compliance with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Supervise the Asset Management finance team to ensure complete documentation of relevant supports and proof of tax remittance
• Ensure key business performance analyses and reports are generated and circulated to the Business managers and Subsidiary on a timely basis
• Ensure integrity and accuracy of accounting records by performing daily reconciliations

• Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance with a strong academic record.
• Professional certification(s) in Finance and/or Accounting from recognised professional bodies (e.g. CFA, ACA, ACCA,)
• A minimum of four (4) years’ work experience in a similar role.
• Deep knowledge of and interest in the Financial Markets, as well as strong business and financial acumen.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.Proven leadership, negotiating and influencing skills.
