Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the company's financial records, accounting operations, and reporting activities.
- The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, sound knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting documents.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, invoicing, and payment processing.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Track income, expenses, budgets, and financial transactions.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, accounting standards, and company policies.
- Prepare and file relevant tax and statutory returns as required.
- Monitor financial transactions and identify discrepancies or irregularities.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing required financial documentation.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
- Provide management with financial insights and reports to support decision-making.
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Possess a B.Sc or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and a minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Experience in the real estate industry is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively under pressure.
Salary
N200,000 - N300,000 monthly.
