Social Media Manager

Job Description

• We are recruiting on behalf of our client, who is looking for a creative and data-driven Social Media Manager to lead our social media presence, with a strong focus on content around events and programmes.
• The ideal candidate has hands-on experience running paid social ads, a solid understanding of SEO, and is fluent in the content creation tools/apps needed to produce engaging, on-brand content quickly.

Key Responsibilities
Content & Community:

• Plan, create, and manage social media content across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, etc.)
• Cover events and programmes in real time capturing and publishing content on the ground
• Develop content calendars aligned with events, campaigns, and programme timelines
• Engage with followers/community and monitor brand mentions and conversations

Paid Advertising:

• Plan, run, and optimize paid ad campaigns across social platforms (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.)
• Manage ad budgets and report on ROI/performance metrics
• A/B test creatives, copy, and targeting to improve campaign performance

SEO & Growth:

• Apply SEO best practices to social and content strategy (keywords, hashtags, discoverability)
• Track and report on growth metrics, engagement, and reach across channels
• Stay current on platform algorithm changes and emerging trends

Content Production:

• Use content creation/editing apps (e.g. CapCut, Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar) to produce photos, videos, and graphics
• Coordinate with events and marketing teams to ensure timely, high-quality content capture
• Maintain a content library/archive of assets

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience managing social media accounts, ideally including events/programme coverage
• Demonstrated experience running paid social ad campaigns with measurable results
• Working knowledge of SEO principles as applied to content and social
• Proficiency in content creation/editing apps (Canva, CapCut, Adobe tools, etc.)
• Strong copywriting and visual storytelling skills
• Willingness to travel and work on-site at events, including evenings/weekends when required.

Salary
N1,200,000 - N1,800,000 annually.
