Supply Chain Manager

Job Summary
- The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in procurement, inventory management, logistics, warehousing, and supplier relationship management.
- The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the flow of goods, materials, and information across the supply chain to ensure operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely product availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies to support business objectives
- Oversee procurement activities, supplier sourcing, evaluation, and contract negotiations
- Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing carrying costs
- Coordinate logistics, transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations
- Monitor supply chain performance and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and products
- Develop and enforce supply chain policies, procedures, and best practices
- Prepare and analyze supply chain reports, forecasts, and key performance indicators
- Collaborate with sales, finance, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure seamless business operations
- Lead, mentor, and supervise supply chain and procurement personnel
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in supply chain management, logistics, or related functions
- Strong knowledge of supply chain operations, procurement processes, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics
- Proven experience in supplier management and contract negotiation
- Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in a trading or distribution company is an added advantage.
