Company: South Atlantic LNG West Africa Limited (SLNG) Location: Nigeria (Project & Office-Based) Employment Type: Full-Time A Document Controller is responsible for managing, organizing, tracking, and maintaining company documents to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with organizational standards and regulations. Job Title: Document Controller Job Summary The Document Controller manages the flow, storage, retrieval, and distribution of documents within an organization. They ensure that all records are properly maintained, updated, and accessible to authorized personnel while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with company procedures. Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain document control systems and procedures.
  • Receive, review, log, and distribute incoming and outgoing documents.
  • Ensure all documents are correctly numbered, categorized, and filed.
  • Maintain both electronic and hard-copy filing systems.
  • Track document revisions and maintain version control.
  • Ensure documents meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with departments, clients, contractors, and consultants regarding document submissions.
  • Archive obsolete documents and maintain records retention schedules.
  • Generate reports on document status, overdue submissions, and document workflows.
  • Support audits by providing required documentation and records.
  • Protect confidential information and ensure data security.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Engineering, or a related field. M.Sc/ MBA is an added advantage.
  • Over 5 years of experience.
  • Proven experience as a Document Controller, Records Administrator, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with document management systems (DMS), such as:
  • Aconex
  • SharePoint
  • Procore

• EDMS

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
