About VFAxAPP
A critical role focusing on building comprehensive end-to-end test automation for an AI-powered recruitment platform. You'll ensure the reliability and data consistency of a complex distributed system that processes candidate applications, directly impacting their career journeys.
You'll step into a high-impact role, immediately taking ownership of building a critical test automation framework from the ground up for our complex, AI-powered recruitment pipeline. You know how crucial precision is when processing real candidate careers, and you'll leverage AI tools as a force multiplier to ensure our system's reliability and data consistency, making sure every fix *stays* fixed.
What you'll do
- Build end-to-end test suites for the entire scoring pipeline (webhook receipt to ranking).
- Create robust API test harnesses for Supabase Edge Functions with auth and payload validation.
- Develop database state verification tests to catch data consistency issues and score anomalies.
- Build regression tests for every documented bug in 'CLAUDE.md' with full context.
- Set up CI/CD test pipelines that run on every PR, with clear failure reporting and flake detection.
- Ensure webhook reliability, covering payload parsing, idempotency, and retry behavior.
Requirements
- You've got 4-5 years in software testing, with at least two years laser-focused on automation.
- You're a pro with Playwright or Cypress and can navigate the complexities of frontend testing.
- You've tackled API testing for async pipelines, webhooks, or event-driven systems.
- You're fluent in SQL, confidently querying databases to verify state and data consistency.
- You thrive in a TypeScript environment, from frontend to edge functions to test code.
- You understand the nuances of testing distributed systems where timing and eventual consistency are critical.
Nice to have
- Experience with Supabase or PostgreSQL-specific testing (RLS policies, triggers).
- Familiarity with AI/ML pipeline testing (scoring models, evaluation consistency).
- Experience with PostHog or similar analytics platforms for verifying event tracking.
