Sales Development Associate — Outbound Calling

You will be making 50 outbound calls daily from warm lead lists provided by VettedAI, focusing on converting these calls into booked meetings with recruiters and founders. This high-volume role ensures that new platform signups, event registrants, and campaign engagers receive a human touch, directly contributing to VettedAI's conversion engine.

You'll be the dedicated voice owning the phone, converting warm leads from new platform signups, event registrations, and campaign engagement into valuable conversations and booked meetings. This is a volume role, requiring roughly four focused hours of calling and logging daily, with clear targets like 50 calls a day and meetings booked as your scoreboard. You won't be building from scratch; you'll be handed prioritized call lists, scripts, and context cards, with a direct line to the founders in a fast-paced startup environment. This is not a role where calls are split across multiple other duties; you own the phone, full stop.

What you'll do

• Conduct 50 outbound calls daily, converting them into booked meetings.
• Perform new-signup welcome calls within a day, thanking them, learning their hiring needs, and booking a walkthrough.
• Execute pre-event calling for Talent Social and Recruiters Ring to understand registered attendees' hiring needs before event day.
• Follow up with people who engage with email campaigns but haven't replied, converting silent interest into a meeting.
• Develop signal-based calling as you grow, sourcing companies actively hiring from LinkedIn and HR community signals.
• Log every call religiously and accurately on the same day, documenting outcome, next step, and follow-up date, starting on a shared tracker and growing into Zoho CRM.

Requirements

• You've done phone outreach at volume before, with experience in sales, call centers, telesales, fundraising, surveys, or collections. This is not a learn-on-the-job role.
• You possess excellent spoken English, conveying a warm, clear, and confident demeanor when speaking with senior professionals; Swahili is a strong plus.
• You are organized to a fault, consistently logging every call without needing reminders.
• You demonstrate resilience, maintaining your energy and focus even after receiving forty 'no's for call forty-one.
• You are proficient in using AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT to prep call context, summarize outcomes, and draft follow-up messages while ensuring all logged facts remain accurate.
• You want to build a career in sales or growth, appreciate clear daily targets and the satisfaction of hitting them.
• You desire front-row exposure to how a startup builds its go-to-market engine, with a direct line to the founders.
