About the Role
- Larkspur is looking for a Business Developer who will play a crucial role in identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and converting potential clients into long-term partnerships.
- As our Business Developer, you will build a predictable pipeline of paying clients and close resourcing mandates that generate consistent revenue for Larkspur. You are our revenue-generating talent.
- The problem you solve is two-fold: Inconsistent client acquisition and unpredictable revenue.
- Success in this role means you are building a structured sales pipeline that consistently converts into at least three new clients per month.
- Where you’re concerned, we only care about these four things:
- New revenue generated (Primary KPI),
- Qualified sales pipeline,
- Client retention and repeat business,
- Professionally represent Larkspur’s brand.
Core Responsibilities
Your day-to-day will look like this:
- Identify and prospect Nigerian companies hiring talent.
- Book meetings with the decision makers and present Larkspur’s value to them.
- Negotiate fees within approved pricing structure.
- Close resourcing mandates.
- Ensure clear and complete client brief handover to the resourcing team.
- Maintain accurate pipeline reports weekly.
- Provide market intelligence (pricing, competitor activity, hiring trends, and client objections).

What Success Looks Like After 90 Days
After three months in the role, you have:
- A documented pipeline of only qualified leads
- Closed 9 new clients
- Clear market feedback on pricing, competitors, and client objections
- Professionally represented the Larkspur brand at all client engagements
Ideal Candidate Profile
- You have experience in B2B sales, recruitment sales, or consulting services.
- You are comfortable with cold outreach and proactive prospecting.
- You can manage a structured sales pipeline.
- You communicate professionally with senior business leaders.
- You are motivated by targets and performance-based compensation.
Compensation
- Earn between N196,000 – N317,500+ monthly in this high-performance, commission-based role, with earnings tied to closed deals, performance, and deal size.
