Job title : Finance Officer

Job Summary: 

• The Finance Officer will assist the CFO in managing the Company’s accounts and operational finance activities. This includes raising journals, managing fixed assets, handling operational processes, supporting audits, monitoring budgets, reconciling accounts, and preparing various financial reports. The role may also include any other finance-related duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Preparation of deal allocation. 
• Daily reconciliation of wallets. 
• Deal settlement and wallet funding. 
• Preparing daily wallet status report. 
• Raising journals for investments, corrections, and bank charges. 
• Preparing the monthly management account with performance review report. 
• Regular review of the ledgers. 
• Preparing and filing regulatory returns. 
• Preparation of forecasts and monitoring reports. 
• Updating the blotter with contract notes, inflow, and outflow dates. 
• Assisting in generating liquidity and proof of accounts reports. 
• Fixed asset management. 
• Support with the Company’s operational finance activities locally and internationally. 
• Assisting with year-end audit processes. 
• Filing tax and regulatory returns. 
• Supporting board paper preparation quarterly. 
• Reconciling old accounts with debit balances on a daily basis.

• Competence in writing reports and correspondence. 

Skill and Knowledge Requirements: 

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. 
• Skilled in financial analysis and reporting. 
• Experience in bookkeeping and reconciliations. 
• Familiarity with stockbroking operations is a plus. 
• Proficiency in accounting/finance software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Education and Experience Required: 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
• ICAN/ACCA qualification is an added advantage. 
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or Fintech operations, including planning, reporting, auditing, and reconciliation.
