Job Summary
- SANY Nigeria Company Limited is recruiting reliable and hardworking individuals to join its Engineering Team as Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Assistants.
- This role is ideal for candidates who are physically fit, willing to work with heavy equipment, and able to support engineers with day-to-day operational activities. No specialized engineering skills are required, as training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Cleaning and Preparation:
- Clean and maintain construction and heavy equipment to company standards.
- Ensure machines are clean and presentable before customer inspections, demonstrations, delivery, or shipment.
- Keep machines and surrounding work areas neat, tidy, and organized.
- Assist with washing, wiping, polishing, and preparing equipment for display and delivery.
Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Support:
- Support PDI Engineers during equipment inspection and preparation activities.
- Assist in positioning and organizing machines within the yard and workshop.
- Help ensure equipment is ready for inspection, delivery, and customer handover.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within the PDI work area.
Installation and Engineering Support:
- Provide physical assistance during machine installation and commissioning activities.
- Assist with loading, unloading, carrying, and moving tools, spare parts, and materials.
- Support engineers during workshop and customer site activities when required.
- Help prepare and clean work areas before, during, and after engineering activities.
General Labour Support:
- Provide additional manpower during busy operational periods.
- Assist with warehouse, yard, and workshop housekeeping activities.
- Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by the Engineering Team and supervisors.
Requirements
- Minimum of SSCE, GCE, or NECO qualification.
- Previous experience in manual labour, warehouse operations, construction, engineering support, or related work is an added advantage.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting, moving, and handling equipment and materials safely.
- Willingness to work outdoors and around heavy machinery.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain safety standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
