We are currently looking to engage a highly competent and result-oriented Technician with strong personal & professional integrity to join our dynamic team in the Architecture Department 

Responsibilities

The Architecture Technician provides technical and drafting support to the architecture team, assisting with the preparation of drawings, models, and documentation across all stages of a project — from concept design through to construction.

He/she is expected to;

• Prepare and update architectural drawings, plans, sections, and elevations using CAD/BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD).
• Produce and maintain physical or digital scale models to support design presentations.
• Assist architects in developing design concepts into detailed technical drawings.
• Ensure drawings comply with relevant building codes, planning regulations, and internal design standards.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical teams to integrate technical requirements into drawings.
• Conduct site visits and measurements to verify existing conditions and monitor construction progress against design documents
• Maintain organized project files, drawing registers, and version control for all documentation
• Support the preparation of specifications, schedules, and material take-offs
• Assist with the production of presentation materials for client and stakeholder meetings.
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers to clarify technical details as required
• Keep up to date with changes in building regulations, materials, and drafting software/technology

Educational and Professional Qualification(s) required for this position

• National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Architectural Technology, Building Technology, or a related field (a degree is an added advantage)
• Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in a similar technical/drafting role within an architecture or construction firm.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; working knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, or similar BIM/3D software is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of local building codes and planning regulations.
• Basic understanding of construction methods and materials.
