Experienced Kitchen Assistant

Job Summary

• We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support daily kitchen operations.
• The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and ensure the kitchen runs efficiently while adhering to food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in basic food preparation such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients
• Support chefs and cooks in meal preparation and cooking activities
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment
• Wash dishes, pots, and kitchen tools promptly and efficiently
• Ensure proper storage of food items in line with hygiene standards
• Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain a tidy work environment
• Help with receiving and storing deliveries of food supplies
• Follow all health, safety, and hygiene regulations
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the chef or kitchen supervisor

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of SSCE or equivalent
• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Willingness to learn and take instructions

Salary
N75,000 - N80,000 monthly.
