Salon Manager

Job Summary

• The Salon Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the salon, ensuring smooth service delivery, excellent customer experience, effective team performance, and achievement of sales and business targets.
• The ideal candidate should have strong leadership and organisational skills, sound knowledge of the beauty industry, and the ability to manage both people and salon operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the salon and ensure smooth workflow.
• Manage, supervise, and coordinate salon staff to ensure productivity and professionalism.
• Ensure excellent customer service and address customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly.
• Manage customer enquiries, including social media DMs, calls, bookings, and walk-ins.
• Monitor appointments, staff schedules, service delivery, and customer flow.
• Drive sales and ensure the salon meets its revenue and customer retention targets.
• Oversee pricing, service charges, and ensure accurate customer billing.
• Monitor staff performance, attendance, punctuality, grooming, and adherence to company policies.
• Ensure all salon staff maintain high standards of hygiene, appearance, and professionalism.
• Identify operational challenges and recommend practical solutions to management.
• Monitor salon supplies, equipment, and inventory and communicate replenishment needs.
• Ensure salon equipment and facilities are properly maintained and used responsibly.
• Support the recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of salon staff.
• Implement and enforce salon SOPs, policies, and service standards.
• Prepare and submit regular operational and performance reports to management.
• Collaborate with HR and other departments on employee-related and operational matters.
• Stay informed about beauty industry trends and recommend opportunities for service improvement and business growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is an advantage.
• 5–6 years of experience in the beauty/salon industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Proven experience managing a salon, beauty studio, or similar customer-facing business.
• Strong knowledge of salon operations and customer service.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of sales, customer retention, and business development.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or relevant business management tools.
• Professional appearance and strong attention to detail.
