Account and business development officer

We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Account & Business Development Officer to grow the company's customer base and manage existing client relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring new customers, promoting payday loans and SME credit products, identifying business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
Responsibilities:
- Create new customer accounts and manage existing client relationships.
- Identify and acquire new customers for the company's loan products.
- Promote payday loans, microcredit, and other SME-related credit products.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to increase revenue.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Understand customers' financial needs and recommend suitable loan products.
- Process loans for civil servants using WACS and Remita systems.
- Follow up with prospective customers and convert leads into active accounts.
- Monitor customer accounts and provide quality customer service.
- Keep accurate records of sales, revenue, invoices, customer accounts, and other relevant information.
- Prepare regular reports on business development activities and performance.
- Work towards achieving set sales and business development targets.
- Ensure customers receive timely and professional support throughout the loan process.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales, business development, account management, or a related role.
- HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience selling payday loans, micro-credit, or SME-related credit products.
- Must be conversant with WACS and Remita systems for processing loans for civil servants.
- Must currently reside in Abuja.
- Strong sales and customer acquisition skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management abilities.
- Ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
