Raw Material Store Head

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operations of the raw material store, including the receipt, inspection, storage, issuance and documentation of raw materials.
- Ensure the timely supply of raw materials to the production department to prevent production delays.
- Maintain accurate stock records and ensure proper inventory control.
- Monitor stock levels, reorder points and material consumption to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure proper identification, labelling, stacking and storage of raw materials.
- Implement FIFO/FEFO procedures where applicable and monitor material shelf life.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Quality Control, Accounts and Logistics teams for efficient store operations.
- Supervise store personnel and ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards and operating procedures.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly inventory and material movement reports.
- Minimise material losses, damages, contamination, wastage and pilferage.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure a safe and organised store environment.
Requirements
- OND, HND or BSc Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting or a related discipline.
- 5–10 years’ relevant experience in raw material store, warehouse or inventory management within a manufacturing company.
- Experience in a plastic manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of raw material handling, inventory control, stock reconciliation and warehouse documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
- Strong leadership, supervisory, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate effectively with multiple departments.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, accountability and attention to detail.
