Head, Business Development & Operations

Position Overview

• We are seeking an accomplished Head of Business Development & Operations with 7–10 years of progressive experience in sales, business development, operations, construction projects, and administration oversight
• The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a proven ability to drive revenue growth, optimize operational processes, oversee construction project delivery, and manage cross-functional teams.
• This role is pivotal in achieving the Group's strategic objectives and ensuring seamless integration between business development and operational functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and identify new investment and development opportunities across real estate and construction sectors.
• Oversee all operational functions across the Group, including construction projects, sales, administration, and support services, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with strategic goals.
• Lead and manage the sales team to achieve aggressive revenue targets, overseeing sales strategies, client relationship management, and deal closures for real estate properties and investment offerings.
• Provide high-level oversight on construction projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to quality standards, budget compliance, and effective risk management across all project sites.
• Manage administrative functions, including office management, facilities, procurement, and vendor relations, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and compliance with company policies.
• Continuously review and improve operational policies, procedures, and systems to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and eliminate inefficiencies across all business units.
• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across business development, sales, operations, and administration, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and professional growth.
• Serve as a key liaison with clients, investors, joint venture partners, regulatory bodies, and government agencies, ensuring positive relationships and full compliance with industry regulations.
• Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets, monitor expenditures, analyze financial performance, and implement cost-control measures to optimize profitability.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for business development and operations, monitor performance against targets, and provide regular reports to the Group COO and Managing Director.

Requirements

• Master's Degree (MBA or MSc) in Business Administration, Legal, Finance, Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• 7–10 years of progressive, verifiable experience in business development, sales, operations management, and construction project oversight, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
• Relevant professional certifications are mandatory (certifications in Legal, Business Development, Sales, or Operations Management).
• Proven track record of successfully driving business growth, achieving sales targets, and leading large-scale real estate and construction projects from conception to completion and regulatoryliaison.
• Demonstrated expertise in operational efficiency, process improvement, and cross-functional team leadership in a multi-entity environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Nigerian real estate, construction, and investment landscape, including regulatory frameworks and statutory documentation.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interface effectively at all organizational levels.
