Senior Account Manager

Job Purpose

• The Senior Accounts Manager is responsible for managing the Company's day-to-day accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely invoicing, payment processing, bank reconciliations, payroll preparation, and statutory compliance.
• The role supports the Head of Finance by maintaining sound financial controls and ensuring the efficient execution of operational finance activities.

Key Responsibilties

• Record all financial transactions accurately and promptly in the Company's accounting system.
• Prepare and issue customer invoices based on approved dispatch records and maintain an updated sales invoice register.
• Monitor customer accounts, follow up on outstanding payments, and maintain an accurate debtors ledger.
• ⁠Verify supplier invoices against approved purchase orders and delivery documents before processing payments.
• ⁠Prepare supplier payment schedules and process approved payments in accordance with Company procedures.
• Prepare monthly payroll schedules using approved HR payroll data for review by the Head of Finance.
• Assist in preparing statutory schedules and supporting documentation for PAYE, VAT, NHF, pension, and other regulatory filings
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and promptly investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
• Prepare financial schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents for internal and external audits.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all accounting documentation is complete and properly filed.
• Ensure compliance with the Company's financial policies, internal controls, and applicable accounting standards.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports as required by the Head of Finance.
• Support budget monitoring, cash flow management, and financial planning activities.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure timely processing of financial transactions and documentation.
• Perform any other finance and accounting duties assigned by the Head of Finance or Management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent is preferred or in progress.
• 3–5 years' experience in accounting or finance, with experience in a supervisory role being an added advantage.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Salary
N250,000 monthly
