Consultant Cardiologist

Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Provide specialist consultations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans within their respective fields.
- Manage patients with acute and chronic medical conditions and provide appropriate follow-up care.
- Request, interpret, and review relevant diagnostic investigations.
- Perform specialist procedures and interventions within their area of competence.
- Collaborate with other consultants, nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date medical records.
- Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment options, prevention, and ongoing care.
- Uphold professional ethics, clinical guidelines, and patient safety standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical services and patient outcomes.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A recognised medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
- Relevant postgraduate specialist qualification in the advertised speciality.
- Current registration and a valid practising licence with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Relevant specialist registration and credentials as applicable.
- Demonstrable clinical experience in the respective speciality.
- Strong diagnostic, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
- A compassionate, professional, and patient-focused approach to healthcare delivery.
