Senior Medical Consultant

As a Senior Medical Consultant, you will play a strategic role in driving business growth for Lara's Medic Aid, a digital health and telemedicine platform. You will promote our home-based medical care solutions to hospitals, pharmacies, HMOs, and other healthcare stakeholders, owning key client relationships and identifying new business opportunities. Your success will be directly measured by your effectiveness in growing our client database and expanding the overall customer base.

You'll be tasked with expanding Lara's Medic Aid's footprint within the dynamic Nigerian healthcare system. This means developing and executing strategic business development plans, building and strengthening relationships with a diverse range of healthcare organizations, and securing new partnerships. You'll lead high-level presentations and negotiations, providing expert consultation on our digital health solutions. Beyond individual sales, you'll contribute to our commercial strategy, conduct vital market research, and mentor Junior Medical Consultants, shaping our next generation of talent. This is a role for an operator who is passionate about both strategic growth and direct client impact in the digital health space. You will not just be hitting targets; you will be actively expanding our ecosystem and directly contributing to making remote medical care more accessible across Nigeria.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute strategic business development plans to expand market presence.
• Build and strengthen relationships with hospitals, pharmacies, HMOs, and other key healthcare stakeholders.
• Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities while expanding existing client accounts.
• Conduct high-level presentations, product demonstrations, and consultative meetings with decision-makers.
• Negotiate and close partnership agreements and commercial contracts.
• Achieve and exceed assigned revenue, sales, and client-acquisition targets.
• Lead market research on competitor intelligence, customer insights, and emerging industry trends.
• Prepare and present accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and market analyses.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless client onboarding and satisfaction.
• Mentor and support Junior Medical Consultants on client engagement and sales performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policy, industry regulation, and ethical standards.

Requirements

• You have a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Medical Laboratory Science, Nursing, Public Health, Biological Sciences, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• You bring 4–5 years of experience in medical sales, pharmaceutical sales, healthcare business development, healthcare consulting, or a similar client-facing role.
• You have demonstrated success achieving sales targets and managing strategic healthcare accounts.
• You possess a strong understanding of the Nigerian healthcare system, healthcare financing, and medical service delivery.
• You excel in communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
• You have a proven ability to build long-term business relationships with healthcare professionals and executive-level decision-makers.
• You have strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• You demonstrate high professionalism, integrity, and customer-service orientation.
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms.
• You are willing to travel frequently within assigned territories.
